This release introduces custom dashboards and an inventory of tablets and smartphones, synced automatically from Microsoft Intune. Automatic discovery starts rolling out its Prism analysis, and the platform now clearly flags any data it cannot load.

✨ What's new

  • Custom dashboards (Dashboard › Custom) let you build your own views from Kabeen's indicators (key figures, comparisons, breakdowns, trends and rankings), start from a Kabeen template, then keep each dashboard private or share it with the whole workspace; Prism can also create one for you.
  • A new inventory of tablets and smartphones joins workstations under Infrastructure › Devices: search, filters, export and a detailed page for each device (compliance, encryption, storage, user…), with your own custom fields; devices also show up in the global search and on their user's page.
  • Microsoft Intune connects from Settings › Integrations to sync your iOS, iPadOS and Android devices automatically, read-only and every 30 minutes: you choose which devices are synced (operating system, ownership, compliance) and, if you are not a Microsoft administrator, an approval link lets your organisation's administrator approve the connection.
  • Automatically discovered applications now come with a “Prism analysis”, on their discovery card and in their details: a one- or two-sentence summary of their business use, in your workspace's language, which “See more” unfolds when it is cut on the card. This analysis, which also suggests a category and a criticality, is rolling out gradually, starting with new workspaces.
  • Servers are now automatically linked to the network of their main interface based on its IP address; if that network doesn't exist yet, it is created and named after its address range, and networks whose ranges overlap are flagged.
  • Servers and networks are now archived instead of deleted: they leave the lists but remain available in the Archives, where you can restore them or delete them permanently; an archived server is no longer brought back by the agent that detects it.

🚀 Improvements

  • When data can't be loaded, the platform now says so right where it was expected, with a “Try again” button, instead of showing an empty list, a “0” or an endless loading state; a figure that can't be computed shows as “—”, and error messages stay on screen until you close them.
  • A banner at the top of the screen tells you when you are offline or Kabeen can't be reached, and goes away as soon as the connection is back.
  • Prism shows the steps of its reasoning and the tools it uses as it works, which you can reopen after it answers; its answers flow in more smoothly, and wide tables scroll sideways on a phone.
  • Network maps are redrawn: the one in a server's details is smoother and easier to read, and the one in a network's details shows the routing devices linked to it and the servers it hosts, each opening with a click.
  • In roles, the “Infrastructure” permission gives way to separate permissions for servers and for networks, and a new “Devices” permission covers workstations and mobile devices; existing roles and API keys keep their access.
  • When linking a server interface to a network, the network list is sorted by name and offers a search once it holds more than three networks.
  • Your workspaces are now listed in alphabetical order; on the screen that authorises an external AI assistant to access Kabeen, you can also search them and recognise each one by its logo.
  • The application matrix PDF export is twice as fast and no longer freezes the page while it is generated.

🐛 Bug fixes

  • The infrastructure export from Settings › Export now shows the right type for each network device (router, switch, firewall or access point), instead of listing switches and access points as firewalls.
  • In a server's details, adding and removing owners is no longer offered to users who aren't allowed to edit servers, for whom the action used to fail.
  • On phones and tablets, a tooltip no longer stays on screen after a tap, for example over a panel that is already closed.
